One in three people will face cancer in his or her lifetime, but no one has to face it alone. On Sept. 13, 2009, the participants of the Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk to benefit Dana-Farber Cancer Institute will change the odds for patients facing all forms of cancer. Please support our efforts by giving generously.

The Walk supports the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In 2008, Dana-Farber conducted 264,577 pediatric and adult patient visits and infusions and offered more than 735 therapeutic clinical trials. Every day our scientists are pushing towards groundbreaking new discoveries as our compassionate caregivers treat our hopeful patients. Live a little of the miracle that is Dana-Farber. As part of my conversion to Judaism, I have committed myself to giving tzedakah (money to charity) and doing acts of tikkun olam (repairing the world).

My mom passed away of cancer in 2001, so this is a cause dear to my heart. I'm not available to walk this year, but have signed up as a virtual walker to raise some funds, and hope to do the walk in future years. Please support my efforts by giving generously and help reach the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
